Director, filmmaker and photographer, Carlotta Cerquetti studied photography in Rome (IED) and then moved to New York City, where she became assistant photographer at Hiro’s Studio, working on the set of photoshoots for magazines such as Rolling Stone, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue. After a few years of freelance photography, she followed a film class at New York University. She became a filmmaker and director of documentaries and short films. Her works obtained two nominations at David di Donatello Awards, and with her documentary Harry’s Bar she attended Venice Days in 2015 (the doc won the Open Prize in Venice, a Special Mention at Nastri D’Argento and was screened by Canale 5, Sky Arte, Netflix Italia)
Regista, filmmaker e fotografa, Carlotta Cerquetti ha studiato fotografia a Roma (IED) e ha proseguito la sua formazione come assistente nello studio del fotografo Hiro, a New York, dove ha collaborato a servizi fotografici per Rolling Stone, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue. Dopo alcuni anni come fotografa freelance, ha seguito un corso di cinema alla New York University e da allora è regista e filmmaker di documentari e cortometraggi. Tra i riconoscimenti ottenuti dai suoi lavori, due candidature al David di Donatello e la partecipazione alle Giornate degli Autori di Venezia con il documentario Harry’s Bar (Premio Open 2015, Menzione Speciale Nastri D’Argento, andato in onda su Canale 5, Sky Arte, Netflix Italia).
